HOW DOES APERTURE AND SHUTTER SPEED AFFECT YOUR IMAGE?

Aperture is a small set of blades in the lens that control how much light enters the camera.

Shutter speed is the small "curtain" in the camera that quickly rolls over the image sensor.

Aperture affects your image because it controls not only the brightness of the picture but also the depth- of-field which is how much of the picture is sharp and how much is blurry.

Shutter speed affects your image because it controls exposure and it is responsible for controlling the amount of blur in the picture.

If the aperture was grater this picture would have more light and not focus on the lights and the dancer.
